This Thanksgiving is the first year
without my sweet Grandpa.
He always made pies, every Thanksgiving.
His pumpkin was the best!
One thing about Grandpa
is you never knew what was going to be in his pies,
but he had a touch,
even if it was baking the weevil out!
I know gross!!
So this year,
I MADE PIES!
And lots of them.
SIX!!
Pumpkin, Sweet Potato,
Apple, Coconut Cream, Pecan,
and last but not least
Chocolate Pecan Carmel!
How cute are they!
I love Kade looking up at Kevin.

You were one busy little baker! Your crusts look fantastic--that is the part about making pies that drives me nuts!
